These companies avoid storing any information in local spreadsheets, papers or emails. When the CEO needs the information of the value of the whole equipment, there is no need for additional e-mails. All that is needed is the equipment management system and a few clicks to access all needed information.

When equipment information is transparent and available, the information can be efficiently used. The outcome is that for example investment decisions can be made based on timely data. On top of that it becomes possible to avoid unnecessary purchases and asset rentals when information about available equipment is available to all. This way departments can share their equipment more efficiently. At the same time asset usage rate can be improved.
